EQUALITY POLICY

I Equality Plan of Episteme. Research and Social Intervention.

The 1st Equality Plan represents, on the one hand, an opportunity to diagnose the current situation with a gender approach of all the people who develop their work within Episteme. Research and Social Intervention. On the other hand, it is an exercise of systematization of the good practices that have been incorporated from the beginning, the visibility of the positioning regarding gender equality, the location of the areas where we have to make more emphasis and the specific adaptation of the Equality Plan to an association of our characteristics. It is, therefore, a road map based on the participative diagnosis of internal needs with a firm will to detect any bias due to gender inequality, to make actions clearly visible and to progressively improve all aspects concerning gender equality.

Guide for the application of the gender approach in the integral cycle of the programs carried out by Episteme. Research and Social Intervention.

The implementation of the gender approach in our programs assumes that there are differences between genders inherited from social, cultural, economic and historical contexts that cross the bodies and identities of people.
The application of the gender approach allows us to carry out research and social interventions that are reliable to the heterogeneous reality of the people who integrate it, and that account for their symbolic universe and their needs.

Sexual and gender-based harassment protocol.

Sexual harassment and gender-based harassment in the workplace must be understood as another manifestation of discrimination, since they contribute to maintaining inequality in the workplace.
Transcending the obligation imposed by the Organic Law 3/2007 for companies to adopt specific measures for the prevention of sexual harassment and gender-based harassment in the workplace, Episteme. Investigación e Intervención Social, as an entity that works in the social field, we believe that the definition of an explicit policy against sexual harassment and gender-based harassment is of special relevance, and we have set it out in this protocol, as a key instrument to prevent, address and deal with the problem that may occur within our entity.
