To implement the diagnosis of the quality evaluation system for the national “Responsible Service” program.
This program represents the implementation of the evaluation system designed to the Design of the evaluation system of the “Responsible Service” program. This program “Evaluation of the “Responsible Service program: Evaluation of effectiveness” represents, on the one hand, the diagnosis of improvement of the Responsible Service program and the cornerstone and diagnosis of needs to build the pilot proposal “Community Service.” Which will represent a damage prevention program with a multicomponent methodology based on an evaluation system.
To address the evaluation, we carried out qualitative field work, interviewing drug professionals who had implemented the “Responsible Service” program in their municipalities. Likewise, we carried out a systematic review of the scientific literature on environmental prevention programs in nightlife contexts, and a review of the programs that currently demonstrated preventive effectiveness in Europe. We concluded that the “Responsible Service” program was useful for providing information to nightlife professionals about the main harms caused by alcohol, but not for demonstrating prevention of harms attributable to the intervention. The distance between the design of “Responsible Service” and programs that claim to be preventive is notable. Currently, effective preventive programs are multicomponent, which means that they are based on three components: the evaluation of their effectiveness, the training of nightlife professionals and joint work and coordination between all parties concerned with the prevention of damage. In this sense we propose the next step of this program: “Community Service.”
