To implement the «Servicio Comunitario» pilot program for the prevention of the harm of alcohol and other drugs.
This edition of the “Servicio Comunitario” program was focused on implementing it. In the previous phase of the “application” program, we designed the evaluation methodology, selected the city of intervention and mobilized the community concerned with damage prevention. In this edition of the program we begin with the collection of health and police indicators, the implementation of surveys to users of nightlife and, the realization of meetings with the root based movements of the intervention area, the local police department, the health and consumption department of the city, the Municipal Drug Addiction Plan, and representatives of the city’s nightlife.
This phase of the program allowed us to have the qualitative and quantitative baseline of the intervention area. We collected information from the comparison area (city of Zaragoza, Casco Antiguo area) and established the necessary synergies with the technical staff of the government of Aragon. The work allowed us to obtain an analysis of the situation of both cities regarding the damages associated with alcohol and other drugs in the contexts of nightlife.
