Description:
This study is a theoretical systematisation of the analysis of the social determinants of the health and lifestyles of hidden populations with addiction problems. To this end, careful ethnological research has been conducted into the discourses and social positions adopted by men and women from these populations. By engaging with their experiences, we have redefined ‘the lifestyle of drug-dependent populations’ and identified the categories that emerge from social determinants in contexts of material, symbolic and cultural poverty impacting their health.
