To address the issue of social exclusion and drug consumption problems not only poses this methodological difficulty, but also forces us to confront the double stigma that this implies and to make an effort of complex and holistic analysis of the reality of our current society, identifying the mechanisms that promote the processes of social exclusion and working to minimize them. We propose a model of intervention based on the in-depth knowledge of micro-social structures, relationships between individuals and groups, spaces and consumer contexts and the development of strategies to facilitate the participation and awareness of citizenship of drug users as a key element in generating inclusion processes.
