Keywords:
A multilevel analysis programme examining the quality, needs, design, target populations, objectives, scope, implementation, evaluation and effectiveness of local addiction prevention programmes, projects and plans.

Description:

Higiea has enabled us to:

  1. Understand how addiction prevention is organized in Spain and what needs justify the different preventive actions to improve their quality and, by extension, their effectiveness.
  2. Analyzing the response and adaptation to the diversity of the target populations of prevention programs is imperative to align the offer with the needs of the current population.
  3. Study the design, quality, and potential effectiveness of each of the preventive actions under study from a gender perspective.
  4. Review the epistemology on which the programs are based and evaluate the extent to which they cover the realities of women’s lives.
  5. Elucidate the effectiveness of current prevention, catalyze changes in the current preventive structure from a gender perspective, and promote innovation and implement good practices in prevention.
  6. Evaluate efficiency through the cost-effectiveness indicator.
  7. Detect both ineffective and effective preventive actions.
  8. Help catalyze the implementation of quality, effective, efficient, and effective standards.
  9. Carry out a multilevel detection and analysis of the different preventive proposals to improve their quality and effectiveness.
  10. Identify weaknesses in the evaluation systems of the analysed preventive practices in order to provide effective evaluation mechanisms that will improve their effectiveness.
