The aim of this publication is to anchor ourselves in the present in order to project ourselves towards the future, towards the challenge of getting involved in the most current trends in social organization in order to, as always, propose new ways of looking at things, rethink drugs and at the same time be critical of our experience and baggage and of the society in which we live, placing special emphasis on the relationships born from peer to peer and which have materialized in humanized and complex methodologies.
Apart from being the editor of this publication, Antoniu Llort Suárez is the author of the chapter entitled “The Difference That Makes a Difference: Broadening the Gendered Gaze and Introducing a Theory of the Body. A strategy for learning together”, also included in this:
«Our experience is based on the work carried out at the Mental Health and Addictions Care Service of the Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital. It aims to provide adapted responses to issues related to the use and abuse of psychoactive substances at outpatient and community level, developing a strategy of interventions based on the philosophy of Harm and Risk Reduction and on the participatory action of the users (Pla d’Accions sobre Drogues de Reus).»
