General objective:
To offer an asynchronous online training on behavioral addictions aimed at professionals interested in the subject.
Summary:
Professionals in the field of drug addiction are called upon to respond to the demands of prevention in the field of behavioural addiction. These professionals, trained in the field of social intervention in general and drug addiction in particular, are mostly unfamiliar with the phenomenon. They therefore feel the need for training in order to be aware of the problem and to be able to intervene. According to the available indicators, the problems of behavioural addiction are expected to increase in the coming years, and the training needs of prevention, social and health professionals will therefore also increase, as communication technologies in general, and sports betting in particular, are more central to the current social reality than drugs. Calliope optimises training processes by offering quality training at an extremely efficient cost-benefit ratio. The programme is developed using the Moodle virtual platform, where students find the materials they need for asynchronous training. The training accepts students continuously because the platform and design allow it. For each topic there is a discussion forum where the students can express their doubts and reflections and the teachers can solve them. When the students are ready, they carry out a final assignment and an evaluation of the results, which is compared with the initial evaluation in order to obtain data on the level of learning acquired. This postgraduate course has academic accreditation. With this programme, we will have a continuous training resource in Spain that will cover the training needs of a wide range of professional profiles at a low cost from the second year of the programme’s implementation.
