Through this publication Episteme present the results of the technical advisory process to improve the quality of prevention programs. The report is aimed toNGO`s that make decisions about the design, execution, and evaluation of preventive programs. The document facilitates the design, execution, and evaluation of programs through a basic guide and case studies.
An evaluation system is based on the analysis of five criteria or specific areas: Relevance: level to which the set of measures that make up the programs is responding to the needs raised. Coverage: level to which the program reaches the target population, as well as their degree of satisfaction. Efficiency: level to which the results that were set as objectives are being achieved and the sustainability of the results over time. Efficiency: level of relationship between costs or resources – economic and human – employees and the benefits of the intervention. Equity: level of contribution of this program to equality, cohesion, and social inclusion. In facts, this report covers the main technical recommendations related to leading programs that aspire to excellence, adapting to the different needs to improve the planning and implementation processes of the social NGO’s, adapting these programs to the European quality standards in prevention of drug addiction and, ultimately, prove whether they are effective and efficient.
