Educational program aimed at boys and girls in a situation of social vulnerability and high risk of problematic behaviors associated with drug use. The program, which began in 2011 in the General Subdirectorate of Drug Addictions, covers the approach to drug use from the perspective of universal prevention to the reduction of risks and harm and incorporates the perspective of gender and cultural diversity.
It has two pillars:
1- Training and advice to professionals who work directly with this population.
2- Teaching tools developed by the program, the result of a participatory process with different professionals in the field and with girls and boys at risk of social exclusion:
- On the First Line with Them. Sandra. It consists of a personal diary where the protagonist explains different situations related to drug use that she goes through, and a guide for professionals.
- On the Front Line with Them. It consists of a set of photographs that deal with situations related to the consumption, sale, possession of drugs or associated behaviors and a guide for professionals that allows you to intervene in different intensities of problematic behaviors.
- If your friend inhales. Brochure published in Darija, Spanish and Catalan that includes harm reduction guidelines for young people who take inhalants, specially designed for the population of Arab origin at high risk and adapted to their practices and beliefs.
